This study day brings together experts from across dental and oncology specialties to share updates and best practices in multidisciplinary oncology care. There will be a focus on the dental management of patients with head and neck cancer and haematological cancers along with strategies to manage the long-term impact of cancer treatment particularly on the oral cavity
Providing dental care to patients with cancer often requires a broad multidisciplinary approach. This study day comprehensively covers the management of head and neck cancer patients, from diagnosis to oncology treatment, and the prevention and management of oral complications from these treatments. The day will also explore psychological support that dental professionals can provide to oncology patients as well as their own dental team. An update in haematological cancers, along with how to carry out dental care for these patients, will also be presented.
Involving experts in the field, the dental oncology study day will provide an ideal setting for dentists and dental care professionals to network, enhance and share their knowledge.
This event provides 5 hours of verifiable CPD and all delegates attending the day will receive an electronic certificate of attendance.
