It also allows them to gain an in-depth knowledge of medical processes and systems in the NHS, by getting involved in a relevant speciality. Our clinical attachments usually last between 12 to 48 weeks and all candidates should be GMC registered.

I feel privileged to witness one of the greatest healthcare systems in the world and the experience was simply amazing. My attachment was rewarding in all aspects. Starting the day shadowing consultants during ward rounds, getting handovers, consulting patients about management options and then discussing medical topics with junior doctors, it was exhilarating

I enjoyed my time and learned a lot. The people are welcoming and the teaching system is well developed. The best thing that inspired me the most is the approach PICU have with parents and the childish environment, which I find amazing here
