Visiting Professional Programme – Paediatric Dermatology and Genetic Skin Diseases
The Paediatric Dermatology and Genetic Skin Diseases Programme has been designed to provide international healthcare professionals with the opportunity to experience our highly acclaimed paediatric dermatology service as well as internationally recognised services for rare genetic skin diseases, specifically epidermolysis bullosa (EB), within St John’s Institute of Dermatology.
The programme has been designed by our expert dermatologists to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience the following areas:
- Clinics and wards
- Multidisciplinary approaches to caring for children and adults with complex dermatological problems
- Diagnostic tests for paediatric and genetic dermatology including specialised EB diagnostics within the National Diagnostic EB Laboratory
- Specialist dermatological conditions, specifically genodermatoses and paediatric dermatology
The programme typically runs for three to six months, however the duration can be tailored to the specific learning requirements of those visiting the Trust.
