Overview

The Guy’s and St Thomas’ Lane Fox Respiratory Unit is a centre of excellence in weaning from mechanical ventilation and rehabilitation post critical care illness. The unit is the only one of this kind in the whole of the UK, meaning that they receive referrals from tertiary referral hospitals nationwide.
A Breath of Fresh Air : Respiratory Care in the 21st Century has been designed to share the knowledge and skills of the unit, specifically in weaning from mechanical ventilation, respiratory rehabilitation, establishing non-invasive ventilation, long term invasive and non-invasive ventilation in the community.

Who should attend

The day has been created for nurses working in, or with an interest in, a critical care environment. This is a free event that is open to nurses of all levels and it is worth 7.5 hours of CPD study days.
